Omar Troncoso obtained his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry at the University of Valencia in Spain. He is a lecturer at the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. He is a researcher at the Laboratory of Polymers and Bionanomaterials of the same university. He has coauthored book chapters, conference papers, and over 50 journal papers. His research interests focus on the use of biopolymers and biodegradable materials for different applications, including energy storage and generation, biomedical devices and the development of new functional biomaterials.
