Hironosuke Imai is a master’s student at Toyohashi University of Technology, specializing in renewable energy technologies derived from waste. His research focuses primarily on methane fermentation, where organic waste is decomposed by microorganisms to generate biogas. Recently, Hironosuke was awarded a prestigious Japanese government to pursue exchange program at the University of Waterloo in Canada for one year. During his year abroad, he was actively involved in research and visited Biogas plants in Ontario, where he collaborated with engineers and managers to explain recent advancements in biogas production and waste management.
