Amir H. Mohammadi has academic qualifications from Université Paris XIII (Université Sorbonne, Paris Cité), École Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris, Heriot-Watt University and the University of Tehran, known for pioneering research. He has been a Visiting Professor/Professeur Invité at the University of Calgary and Université Laval, an Adjunct Lecturer at École des Mines de Nantes and École Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées, a Visiting Scholar at Technical University of Denmark (DTU), University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), Planta Piloto de Ingeniería Química (PLAPIQUI) and Tomsk Polytechnic University, an Honorary Research Professor at Durban University of Technology (DUT), an Associate of Curtin University, an Adjunct Professor at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and holder of an Honorary Appointment from INTI International University. He is the recipient of a prize from the Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining and Outstanding Research Awards from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. According to a 2014 report from the Essential Science Indicator released by ISI Thomson Reuters, he is a top 1% researcher.
